Join me for coffee as you start your day!

Hi! I've created this website, "Senior Moments" for all of you who need someone to talk to, laugh with, and share special memories and tips for today's experienced generation. Simply getting up in the morning sometimes creates a little stress as we "seniors" tend to move a little slower these days and our weary bones and muscles make it more difficult to "jump out of bed!"
I've just recently joined the ranks of "Senior Citizen," at age 64...I suppose I'm in that category, but I will never admit it. I feel inside just as young as when I was a young mom running after my five children. Now, five more "grandchildren" later, my body can't quite keep up with me and the creative endeavors I dream about. Besides handling the books for my son's computer business and writing, I clean homes and offices as well. I do just fine until I'm stuck on the floor scrubbing toilets, and have to crawl to the nearest counter to pull myself up! My favorite author, Barbara Johnson, sums this dilemma up in her book, Go Stick a Geranium in Your Hat and Be Happy. "You really know you are getting old when you bend over to tie your shoes, and you wonder what else you can do while you're down there." --Source Unknown My husband, Rich, and I love the Lord and depend on HIM to lead us in the right direction as we grow old together. Retirement looms in our future, but as one person told me, you should never retire, but REFIRE, finding new challenges and places to go while we are still able to. Getting back to the reason for this website....I really want to help you with struggles, frustrations, or just provide a virtual shoulder to lean on when you don't know what to do. I've been an empty nester for quite some time now, and I would also like the company! I can't promise you I will have the right answers, but will certainly pray for you and guide you as best I can. Please don't be offended if I use a Bible verse or two, as God is my counselor and I will gladly pass on what He has taught me over the years. Email me using the Chat box at the left to introduce yourself! Looking forward to meeting you! May God bless you and your family! Chris |
